HELP!!

i can’t figure out how to get my pictures to go where i want them to go on this blog…every thing just bunches up like it does in my last post.  any suggestions?

our house

For those in the blog world who don’t know- Dave and I bought a house in January…January 7 to be exact…all I remember about that day was signing my name 100 times and Dave’s too because I was his attorney in fact since he was working at the fire department the day of the closing.  Dave and Zeus live here now with the hopes that Diesel and I won’t be too far behind (once we get married…and no I have no clue when that will be).  I spend the night here about twice a week to take care of Zeus while Dave is at the fire department.  So tonight I thought I would blog about the house.Our house is perfect.  It is everything Dave and I both wanted in a house.  A little bit of land in the country…hardwood floors…and a garage for Dave.  The house is awesome…needs a little paint on the inside but other than that it is great!!  Dave keeps telling me he couldn’t be happier…which is such a blessing.  Dave’s mom told me how she thought it was so neat that Dave being the “wanderer and mover” he is settled in a place called Travelers Rest.  It is definitely great the way God works.  He gives us just what we need…when we need it!   It has been lots of work.  It wasn’t the “cleanest” when we moved in and required several days of just throwing stuff out.  Then we started working on the guest bedroom so that Dave’s parents would have a place to stay on their visit here at the end of January.  It took 9 days…too long.  Dave took the popcorn off the ceiling and we painted and got a new quilt for the bed (thanks mom!), pillows, and curtains.  It turned out great!  Below are some before and after pictures and a picture of the front of the house.  I love this place. And on my way here tonight after a terrible storm there was a beautiful rainbow that looked like it was right over our house…a wonderful reminder of God’s promises!

10 year reunion…

well actually that will be next year.  its hard to believe that it has almost been 10 years since i graduated from high school…sometimes it feels just like yesterday.  well this isn’t really about my high school reunion…  today i went to a baby shower for one of my best friends in high school.  she was a year older than me and our other partner in crime was there as well…it had been 10 years since we had seen one another.  WOW!  they looked just the same.  well except that Hannah is 7 months pregnant.  its so weird when you see someone that at one point in time you almost couldn’t live without…and then you realize 10 years have gone by.  funny thing is we didn’t miss a beat, i feel like we picked up right were we left off.  i thank God for those types of friendships.   tonight i am going to a movie with another good friend of mine, Sarah.  she is my favorite friend to go see movies they are set way back in time with.  tonight we are going to go see “the other boleyn girl.”  until then it just me and my boys hanging out. 

two things i love…

This is Diesel and Zeus.  For anyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of meeting Diesel…boy are you missing out.  He has more personality than quite a few humans I know.  I never really understood the attachment one could have with a pet until I had my own.  This dog is really a true companion…he lavishes love (in a variety of forms) on me unconditionally.  He is spoiled rotten…gets what ever he wants.  Dave says this is terrible of me but I don’t care- I’ve also managed to spoil his boxer.  Zeus (the boxer) didn’t know what to think of D in the beginning…but how quickly they became best friends.  The other night Dave and Z came over to watch Prison Break.  D was in my room and Z ran all over the house looking for him and then pouted when he couldn’t find him.  They are too cute together.  They are like Mut and Jeff.  Once I download my camera I’ll post some pics of them together.

So about 3 months ago I started religiously reading (without their knowledge) several friend’s blogs…screams stalker I know!!  Anyway, I thought I would start one of my own…that way maybe someone will secretly stalk me.  So you may ask what a single 26 year could possibly have to blog about…oh well I’ll tell you what you are going to be suprised.  Stay tuned…
